How quickly does SureFlap^TM open and close for my cat?

When your cat comes to enter the house then SureFlap^TM detects their head is in the tunnel and then reads their ID chip. This typically takes a fraction of a second and the door opens without noticeable delay.

SureFlap^TM closes a few seconds after they have passed through the tunnel.

A very persistent and intelligent intruder can occasionally learn to follow your cat inside before the lock has a chance to close.  In order to help avoid this happening there is a built in mode with a faster closing lock.  Further details can be found on page 18 of the manual.
