Microchip Cat Flap

Microchips are tiny, passive electronic devices. Each microchip is individually programmed with a unique permanent and unalterable 10 or 15 digit identification code. The microchip is coupled to an antenna and sealed in an inert glass capsule small enough to be injected under the skin. The smallest microchip is a bit bigger than a grain of rice (8mm x 2.1mm

The microchip is implanted into a pet using a procedure similar to a routine vaccination. After implantation the chip remains with the animal for life. When scanned a signal is sent to the microchip, providing the power needed for microchip to send its unique code back to the scanner.

SureFlapTM is a cat flap that works in the same way as a scanner but in addition keeps a record of your pets unique microchip number/s and allows secure access for only your pets.

SureFlapTM has been selected by Australia's leading microchipping organisation Digivet.com. Digivet.com distributes Destron LifeChips  -  the first microchips to be launched in Australia and the only microchip than claims not to migrate.
